Default Ran a 9.07 after the new stall and shiftkit... But i dunno how...

Ok, first run down the track after i had the stall put in. Was up against jt76's trans am btw. Staged and began to test out the stall, didnt know where it was gonna break loose at, but then i saw the lights going and i didnt have time to stall it up all the way so i just launched at whatever and it launched pretty hard. Saw the sign as i drove by, ran a 9.07. Before stall and shiftkit was a 9.28. [8D]
Got the timeslip and i cut a 2.0 60ft. Tires were at 22lbs.

Another guy was using nittos at 18lbs, so jim suggested i deflate to 18 also, so i tried it. Next run i stalled it at 2500, and idk what happened but i bogged a bit. Had a 2.1 60ft and ran a 9.21. Tried launching a ton of different ways and still was in the 9.2 range. [:@][:@][:@]

Took a break to let the car cool down a bit, reinflated the tires to 22lbs, stalled at 2500, and spun off the line. 9.37 with a 2.2 60ft... W.T.F.

I dont ****in get it, first run or two at the track are always my best. Ran my 9.39 stock, then my 9.28 after tune and midpipe and nittos, then my 9.07 after stall and shiftkit. I dont think the car heated up THAT much, to where it would be 2 tenths slower the second run.

Maybe im not launching right? A buddy of mine with a stalled car suggested stalling at only a bit over 2 grand, and launching by mashing the gas first, then releasing the brake, like a splitsecond burnout. All night i was launchin at 2500, and releasing the brake and flooring the gas at the same time. Like i said, first time i wasnt paying attention, so idk.

What if they are? [8D] I didnt tell you what happens when i hit 88mph with my new flux capacitor.

Lol seriously tho, i gotta figure out how the **** to run consistent fast times. I saw what the cars capable of, i just gotta repeat it consistently.

have you tried Icing your intake in between runs?....the guys here routinely see .1-.2 off from the colder air charge. try 20lbs on the tiers ( dr's right) if so heat the bitches up try to roll as little as possible bring it up to 2300rpm and do your thing

Sounds like you just need to find exactly where you should launch from. 2500rpm doesnt seem to be it, Id guess around 22-2300, but the best way to figure it out is trial and error

it' slow because you bought a really low stall, you should have at least gone 3200

Nah, never tried the icing thing. And you're saying to stall a bit lower than the max? And yes the tires are nitto 555r's. The 9.07 was on 22lbs, all the others were on 18lbs. I was bogging a bit, rpms didnt drop, but they kinda were bleh for a second.

The stall they put in was a 3000 stall, but the car stalls at 2500. The transmission guys said more power would help me take better advantage of the stall. As in, an extra 50 horsepower might have me stalling at about 2700. But idk. Id want more power to be faster overall, duh, not to stall 200rpms higher. The higher stall is just a bonus.

And no, no plans for gears yet. I need acutal power adders.

yeah definitely ice the intake and the trick to the triple 5's is they need more heating than say a MT et Street, and BFG's, but for the street the triple 5's are great!
BUt yes i would try a little bit slower rpm.
