People in europe respect BMW too much, the Mustang when it races against the 335i in national racing doesn't win, the mustang is the champion race car.
Anyway I have a Supercharged GT and I forced my mom to buy herself a 335i sedan so I could chip it for fun (we actually switch cars when I visit because through christmas etc I've paid for so many mods to it that I own at least 20% of the car)
You'd need to run a Mustang GT at MAXIMUM un-forged safe boost AND run a full suspention like Saleen Roush or FRPP to be able to compete with the 30k ****-mobile if it's chipped.
A saleen supercharger with the JDM 500 upgrade would be required as an example of a setup that could run at the maximum safe boost.

I looked online and couldnt find "lawl".......i checked dinan and they're best package-stage 3-with tune and boost controller was 398hp (probably flywheel) AND requires an upgraded intercooler and oil cooler.
Meanwhile almost every whipple owner runs over 450rwhp with some eclipsing the 500 mark.
Not doubting a modded 335i is fast (they're powerful cars) just don't think you need a maxed out stock internal'd 3V.

398hp is actually the best known number from the 335i this is because this number is what you get with the stock turbos maxed out with simple mods... at the wheels.
Therefore that you looked down on it that how was probably at the flywheel is really ironic.
Also the 335i with the sports package comes with the upgraded oil cooler, and so do all ones after 2008, pre 08 ones sometimes don't have them so you need to upgrade. However that's a stock part.
Yes a better intercooler is used for all "398 RWHP" cars but that only adds ~30 hp.
Furthermore being a turbo the torque is about 425 RWTQ on a supercharger it would the opposite which means you need even more than 398rwhp on a mustang to match a 398 rwhp car.
Then you have to consider that the gearing is slightly better and the aerodynamics are slightly better.
Anyway the Saleen Supercharger actually IS a whipple so you can easily call JDM the markers of the JDM 500 kit and ask them what they think about running more than 500 hp through the stock engine and transmission and how a 500rwhp on stock parts is safe.
