....yeah....they only trapped 5 mph faster by the same source, and only have another 120 hp. Of course it should be a close race. AND the engine is overrated, because there have been numberous reports about putting it on the dyno and only putting down 340-360rwhp.

If we go by power to weight... if 340 is the lower end of what they dyno at stock, and 270 is at the higher end of what a mustang dynos stock then the Challenger is 12.35 pounds per horse, and the mustang is 12.59 pounds per horse.... sounds like a pretty close race to me...

If 360 is what they dyno stock (HIGHER END) and the GT puts down 240 (LOWER END).......what does that equate?

How the hell is a low 13 / high 12 car @ 108-109 a close race for a high 13 low 14 car that traps in the 100-103 range??? (Stock).

*sigh*

And I've ridden in stock stock S197 GTs (auto and manual, Vert and coupe, etc... etc...) and they sure as hell aren't impressive stock and less so when compared to an SRT8, what's your point?

I've never heard of a Manual GT losing THAT much to the drivetrain. But to make you happy.. the numbers would be 11.66 to 14.16. Variations in HP have a larger effect on our cars cuz they are lighter.

Anyway... From a roll of about 70-110 he could not keep up. He DID get on it... whether or not he went WOT is a different story... but I don't see why he would make the effort to catch back up to me in traffic, and follow me THROUGH traffic making lane changes with me and then NOT go WOT... AND THEN he waved at me when he exited... So knowing all that it just doesn't make sense to go through all that trouble and not give it your all.
