I'm glad you put them in their place. How could you even think to talk chit running a 22. Then be dumb enough to line up. I would believe him when he says he miss shifted. I just went out 2 weeks ago for a import event and these guys can't shift. some guys were hitting the rev limiter 2 and 3 times and these cars would still run in the 12's. One car hit the rev limiter 5 times in one run. I would think they would be drivers if their dumping all that money into the car. It looked almost like stop and go traffic, real fast , bad shift, real fast, bad shift, etc.

Pulling a 2.1 60' on a street tire and stock gears that is damn good.... The best 60' I ever got out of my brother's 97 gt was a 2.24 stock gear street tire.

Any word on those 1/8 mile times and mph's and the 1/4 mile mph's???
Just curious

1/8 time 9.46 @76.0 mph , 96.12 mph in the 1/4.
The car still doesnt feel right after the PI swap I can spin my tires little to no more than I could before the swap. One of my O2 sensors is saying the car is running lean on the drivers side Could this be causing some lack of power? and possible the fact its still on the 89 tune for the NPI motor?

I would have expected you to run better after a PI swap. Did you swap out the intake manifold, heads and cams? If so, you are going to need to get a tune to take full advantage of what you did. I would say you are definitely not running at 100%.

easy....put some money on the race

I once had a ricer while we were in the lanes ask me my I bought a POS Mustang. He had some hot looking jap scrap with a pearl paint job, big wing....ya know, we've all seen em. I just laughed and walked away. Guess who I got matched up against? Yep. He ran 17.6. So i followed him to his pit and asked him if he got good gas mileage. He didn't like that......lol.

It actually happens all the time at cecil..

The idiots make the cars slower with big rims, body kits, wings, bull****, try to manuall shift thier autos after banging the rev limiter for 3 seconds in each gear.

They turn 16-17 second cars into 20+ its great

theres two reasons ricers bounce off the limiter before shifting.
1- theres no power, hence no power band to stay in
2- the more noise it makes the faster it goes, obviously

lol....my buddy used to have a Ranger.....he couldn't get it over 60mph. He took it to the dealer, they hooked it to the scope, spent 4 hrs going thru the motor. Finally the mechanic found the problem.....he pulled the carpet up under the throttle, low and behold, there was a glove glued under the throttle.
