try to get some billet LCA's. I heard they're better. Don't really know why to be honest, but I have some and I got them for like 79.99 brand new. Love the less wheel hop. I loved it so much I actually went out, got an UCA and and looking at getting subframes now lol

My 06 will hop the tires like crazy if I'm not careful. I think its due to the geometry of the suspension. My 01 didn't do it near as bad.

I'll give you my car if you can pull a 1.39 60' in my car as is at that track there were a lot of cars on full slicks there wednesday that didn't pull 1.39's. one guy with a 300C SRT8 was going slower on a 75 shot than he did his previous trip out without spray. my buddy's car was going slower this time with 25whp more than the last time he went.

I tried a couple different things off the line, less gas, more gas, less wheel spin, more wheel spin. I wanted to try slipping the clutch a little more but I don't want to kill the clutch before I get the supercharger. the car only has 750 miles on it right now so it's not really broken in yet either.

next time I go I have some suspension mods to help the wheel hop and I'll get the time down.

I drove my buddy's 04 GT at the same track when it was still moroso with his 425whp Kenne Bell setup and it didn't wheel hop at all. all he had done suspension wise were lowered springs and shocks. I think my best 60' on that car was a 1.7 or a 1.8, can't remember.

Was at PBIR this friday 6/19/09 went 1.40 60' PBIR is the best track out there .. there was a chevy s10 that went 1.29 60' and a mustang running the bottle went 1.31 yanking the front tires way off the ground. BTW I am running a Hoosier drag radial and the Mustang that went 1.31 was using a BFG drag radial .We are all using QA1 double adjustable rear shocks. Do a search on what people are using to make their cars work right buying parts and not knowing how to adjust them is a waste of money .

dang, must have just been a better group of cars out there last night, wednesday night guys weren't hooking up like that. was the weather any better? when I was there it was in the 80's with 80% humidity.

I agree with you on getting parts, that's why I haven't bought anything yet and I'm posting on here I know I can install them correctly with the pinion angle and all that stuff but I wouldn't know what to do with springs and shocks. how do the shocks benefit you? to you set them up soft or stiff? I want the car to hook at the track obviously but at the same time I don't want to make it a straight line only car.

thanks!

I will be corrected if im wrong........ But I believe the adjustable shocks are good so at the track, you can soften them up for weight transfer (ie. so the car will 'squat' more).

Maybe?

The the 197 and new edge have a different suspension setup don't they?

a friend of mine used to work at Champion Motorsport and they just got the head engineer from Saleen to work for them. when my buddy was talking to him about the S197 he said that the new suspension is much better than the old one especially in the rear end. he mentioned Ford changed a lot of the geometry and that made a big difference in being able to get the car to handle well without crazy spring rates that would kill the ride. as far as exactly what changed I don't know since I didn't talk to him myself.
