Default Run in with 2010 CST-V...

So I'm heading home for lunch and I'm stopped at a light when a Cadillac CTS-V pulls up in the lane next to me. The lane he pulled into ends in about 1/4 mile, so when the light turns green I floored it so he wouldn't try something tricky and merge into my lane at the last second... at this time I thought this was a regular CTS, not the 551 HP 550 TQCTS-V (6.2 v8 supercharged). It goes 0-60 in 3.9 seconds. I look in my rear view mirror and he is about to pass me, this was at full throttle. At this time I was pissed because I thought a regular CTS caught up to me at full throttle. I guess I needed a GT 500 haha... tuned.

It was a 62,000 car. It happens.

Yeah those things are pretty awesome! My buddy brought one of these home from work, and we all took turns driving it. A bunch of us (all with various different Mustangs) took turns running against it. When i raced it on the spray it was pretty even. I was very impressed to say the least.

that new CTS-V is a monster in it's own right.. performance like that with 4 doors? it's insane. no shame in losing to one of those.

Did you ever get any track times? I'm anxious to see them.

You can get a CTS-V for $62k? I thought they were way more expensive than that. I never searched it, just interesting to know.

Times for the Caddy? We didn't take it to the track, but i've seen anywhere from 12.3 to 12.6 at around 114-117 mph.

The one my buddy had was like 70k. When you think about it, it's one sweet deal for what you get.

Hmmmm.

I'm sure with ease that Caddy would have passed you and cut you off. What happened after you floored it?

I love those things. Saw one on the same night as the big Dyno night here in Chicago. Something must have been wrong, as it made 370+ RWHP, which was odd.

My rich uncle actually got one of those a few months back. He let me drive it and I fell in love, the thing a a brute, but so refined, the only thing that really compares to it are AMGs and an M5.
