Default Back from the track with new times w/ a surprise guest!

Well, I went to the track last night to run the beast and hoping for some new times. 1st run I beat my personal best of 12.78 with a 12.70 which I was very happy about, and I kept going down from there! Got all the way down to 12.61 @ 109.02 My MPH was low because my turbo felt like it was lagging in 3rd gear and I had missed 2nd on the previous run and my clutch was smelling terrible. My best MPH of the night was 115.68 which is good, but I should be either low 12's or high 11's with that. I just need that seat time to get my 60ft in the 1.6-1.7's consistently! Too bad my best of the night was 1.9x on the m/t e/t streets. I know, terrible, but I'll get better. Anyway, here's some slips:

Here's the fastest run of the night:

Oh...and I forgot to mention...someone everyone here may know was there:

Chris from Blow By Racing! He was there running Matt's 2010 trying to get a couple bolt on runs and than go back their with the BBR stage 1 cams on Friday to see how much of a gain the car gets in the 1/4. I'll be there and anyone in the area should come, race, and watch as well!

Yea, my turbo felt like it was lagging in 3rd gear on the 12.61 run. Chris said it was probably my clutch since I burning my clutch on the 2nd run and it was probably affecting my trap.

Yeah I would expect to see high teens for the traps considering the power numbers... get that clutch issue figured out and you will be flying!!

Nice job.

Yeah your times seem way off for your power. Must have some serious traction issues...

Thanks man. I know Chris is going to be running mid-high 12's with those cams. I'm ready for that one lol. I just gotta keep practicing!

How big of a turbo are you running? In other words how much air will it move per minute at the presure your running? Every turbo has some lag but third gear is not usally a gear that lag is going to hurt you. If your shifting at 6000RPMs it should fall to about 3500RPM on the upshift and be right back into boost. A 450WHP car should trap in the 115 to 118 range all night. Still sounds like you have some broke **** on your car. Slipping clutch ain't helping at all. Whats up with the launch? Do you have the tires pressured down right? Are you bogging or spinning when you leave the line?
