I'm always fascinated on how people can guess the years of an LS1 f-body. Perhaps there's something I don't know about them.
I would say it's the blinging wheels that helped you inhale that ricer of a TA. Guy probably went and traded that car in on the hopes of, one day far from now, owning an S197 and a pair of *****.

from the rear it's hard to tell an LT1 from an LS1... at least compared to the front

Today while leaving the post office already a little angered being I didn't have enough time to mail an envelope that require extra postage, seen and followed a 2002 or 01? while entering the entrance ramp on the interstate to go to the doctor. I have had the crud for days now. Anyway I notice he noticed me and he started to speed up I could tell because smoke was starting to give his position even more. I laid on my 2005 GT and that Cold Air Intake with Brenspeed tune with a few extras and a course 4.10 gears and just wasted the sob. it was funny I knew he was dead because I eventually passed him and he just gave up like a lot of ricers do. Funny I thought he was going to blow an engine the way he ran it was smoking so damn bad I was waiting for metal debris to hit me.
LOL this story sounds like you just got done watching the fat n fury..Wow you got a cold air intake wow. LOL gotta be kidding me was you drunk? Maybe they gave you meds on the way home from the doctors. oh its (waisted).

The only way to tell an LT1 Fbody, and an LS1 Fbody apart, from the rear, is by tail lights. But, a lot of people put LS1 T/A tails in LT1's, and a lot of LS1 Camaro guys put LT1 tails in their cars. And they're pretty subtle differences anyways. So, really there's no way to tell for sure. lol

Sorry op but im gonna go with everyone else and say that sounded like a scene from fast and the furious or something "the cai with the brenspeed tune with a few extras". Ya cant really brag about how much a beast your motor is when all ya have is a cai with a tune unless those extra goodies include something that adds some real hp your not really saying much. And it kills me to say this but you sounded like the rice in this race to me. Honestly it doesnt even seem like he wanted to race. It sounds to me like you slowed down and he was still doing the speed limit and than when he caught up you just womped on it with that nasty cai adding 2rwhp oh sorry i mean 3rwhp with that tune and called it a race. Also if my car was smoking as bad as you said his was i wouldnt wanna make it any worse by racing. Thats just me though...

The only way to tell an LT1 Fbody, and an LS1 Fbody apart, from the rear, is by tail lights. But, a lot of people put LS1 T/A tails in LT1's, and a lot of LS1 Camaro guys put LT1 tails in their cars. And they're pretty subtle differences anyways. So, really there's no way to tell for sure. lol
