Yeah, the recent news out in the last few days is extremely bad for US F1. Not only is it looking like they might not make the first 3 races(which is allowed within the rules) but it looks like they might not even make the season period. It's gone from being rumor and speculation, to looking like the team is a few weeks away from collapsing. We can hope they'll explode on the scene with a car....but I don't think Mosely was there to change those girl's lives either.

there is no skill street racing on the highway... nascar is the real deal, although I do believe its more car and team than it is driver, formula 1 is much more driver skill - but there is a machismo factor that a nascar driver must have that alot of f1 drivers dont.

Explain the obvious... which part? I know your not going to go off on the street racing skill.... if that the case then have a nice big bowl of ***** please! IF your referring to the nascar part it, you have to have a mental state that rubbin is racin, and alot of F1 drivers arn't comfortable with that, its two different schools of racing. F1 drivers have far more skills in a strict car/driver relationship, but nascar skill is unique to itself and its not just turn left. That said, imo alot of nascar ability can/could be learned, but some of the F1 drivers are just freaks of nature.

street racing through traffic is exactly like nascar minus the ppl around you aren't driving as fast as you are, possibly making street racing harder than nascar IMO

on a side note, I'm sick of hearing about danica patrick racing her nascar and wrecking it and trying to "get in laps" ...when she can win, I'll be interested

Okay, while NASCAR is perhaps the least skilled of automobile racing....driving ANYTHING at triple digit speeds and maintaining control requires a ton of skill. You think 110mph at a drag strip is no big deal? Try doing it through a turn, let alone at 200mph. Vehicle traction continues to be reduced as load transfer moves to one side of the vehicle, the faster you go and the harder you turn, the more the load transfer, the less traction and the more the car wants to do crazy stuff. And trying to regain control of a car that gets loose at 200mph is next to impossible, and requires a LOT of skill and nerve.
