Default Finally got to run the SRT-4

I finally got to run a friend of mine who has become quite cocky ever since he got a new srt-4. Before we even raced his cousin starts talking trash to me, "you think that little stock mustang will keep up with this mopar?" "you're going to get wasted dude." I just started laughing and asked him what car he drove, he then became very quite. So we went out to a wide open country road and lined up and his friend counted down from 3 and we went. I instantly pulled a few lengths on him from the start, he spun bad, and is also not the greatest driver. Once we reached about 97mph he pulled back even with me and then pulled 1 1/2 car lengths on me and then it stopped pulling on me and we stayed even for a while until we shut down. The exact same thing happend the second time we raced.

His car is an 04' so it has the LSD from the factory, his other mods were a CAI, and stiffer wastegate spring to hold some more boost. My car is an 01 vert and automagic, which should be the slowest of all 99+ stangs.

I was very happy with the outcome of my bonestock car versus his. Does this sound about right with everyone else?

Yea, sounds about right. Stock for stock SRT-4's are quicker than GT's IMO.
Get some gears on that stang and then the situation changes however.

Not always. A 5 sp 99+ GT will be a better race for one though.

Good run, that'll teach you to get an autotragic.

Well no **** not always. A murcielago should be quicker than my car, but i COULD run into a ****ty driver. Same driver, stock for stock at the track, id put money on the SRT.
