Default My s197 vs E46 M3 / SRT8 300c / C5 z06

Went home this weekend and finally got some racing action..

First up, c5 z06. Ran into this guy on my way home. Did a 60 roll and i got the jump, i had him by half a car all the way up to 110-115, until he started to reel me in quick. He put about 1.5-2 cars on me past 120. Good run and cool guy.

Next, a srt-8 300c with atleast some sort of catback. Sounded pretty mean for a 4 door sedan! We lined em up around 65. His nose was at my rear tire throughout the whole race. We went up till 120-125. (i ran outa gear) I was very impressed with how well it held up. Ive raced a few srt8 chargers and its never been that close.

Last but not least, a m3. Seemed to be stock. I saw him look over at me and threw him a rev. He bit. We lined up at 40-45ish mph with me in 2nd. I let him have the jump, he got a fender on me before i layed on it, and by the end of 2nd i caught his pull and some, hit 3rd and pulled on him like a freight train. I put 2 cars on him by the end of 3rd and shut it down.

Nice runs. I'm surprised you did that well against the Z06.

He was probably sitting in a better spot in the powerband to start the run. Eventually the Z06's power/weight/aero advantage took over.

Yeah, that could very well could be the case. Plus 60-110 mph is not a very long race.

OP have you put it on the strip to see what kind of times you're running?

I haven't been to the strip since i had just intake and a brenspeed tune. Haven't had the time with school kicking my ***. IMO it'll run 12.5-7 range with some drag radials...

I second that, as long as you know how to pedal it.

Good looking Stang OP, nice runs. I suspect those gears helped a bunch.
