Smile my boosted stang vs a boosted Z06

well the other day I killed a normal C6 Vette, that was fun, not really a fair fight supercharged vs all-motor but who cares kinda funny, this morning the corvette gods had their revenge on me. I bumped into a C5 Z06 this morning on the way to work and he was boosted too we ended up running from a dig and he raped me off the start, drag radials FTW. once I had grip he wasn't pulling as hard but he was about 4 cars out by the time I hit 90mph then he let off.

he was cool, we talked for a little at the next light, didn't have enough time to find out the power he was running but off the line on my stock 235's there's no way I was gonna keep up from a dig. I really wanted to get him from a 2nd gear roll, that would have been interesting, but we got stuck at the light, oh well. in about a month I'll have my new wheels and drag radials, hopefully I bump into him again then

so my mustang - 1, corvettes - 1

I don't have a clue how you can outrun anything with 235's on the back. My street tires are 295's and I can blow them off at 50+mph on motor alone.

Was it blown or turbo? Any other mods? Sounds like a very mild build because any type of FI LSx is gonna see 500'ish rwhp, and in a light *** ZO6 should just walk away from you at any speed.

Isn't OP saying he had drag radials at the time and that with the stock 235mm tires he would not have been able to keep up?

No. He was saying the Z06 raped him off the start, because it had DR's, and he didn't. Honorable death. There aren't too many street cars that are going to be able to hang with a boosted LS7. Hell, stock, they trap in the 120's.

Edit: Whoops, didn't see that you said C5 Z06. It'd still be any easy 500+hp car that's going to trap in the 120's though.

ha ha, "honorable death". yeah, my only chance was a run from a roll from 40mph or so, then I'd have grip.

I think I would be a pretty good race for ya and I'm all motor Unless you got some weight reduction I don't know about.

because a supercharger is more fun than new tires

plus I'm waiting on my new rims before I get new tires, should be in the next month. I didn't want to get tires for the 17" stock rims when I was going to switch to 18's.
