I agree with OP. No need for a 465 hp car to race a 600 hp car. If you beat him because he took off in 3rd and you in 1st, what have you accomplished?

Getting your **** handed to you by a faster car is equivalent to watching a fine women walk by. Even though you may never stand a chance in hell of nailing it, its still worth drooling over, lol.

Hell I would have ran him. I ran a newer model corvette and I hung with him for about one tenth of a second. Guy still gave me thumbs up. Once I install the Vortech, maybe I be able to hang for a full second, lol!!

Well you could take pride in being the better driver. I beat Zo6 at the track last year. He trapped 123 to my 119. He had the better car for sure. Racing is a little more than who spent the most money.

That's true. Hopefully I'll see him around town again. Real nice guy.

Every current base model corvette or older then 04 Z06 Corvette you should be able to take down. At least, I can.

Sorry mang, I don't see ya running with a well driven C5Z. They make close to the same power you do, and weigh a LOT less.

Sure, the average driver will run mid-high 12's. However, a few personal friends that had them, bone stock broke 11's and trapped 115-117. Bone stock I might add.

OP - It would take a lot to beat it, but, the big picture and point is, running him just to see how sexy that thing looks and sounds as it runs away

Gotta admit that I don't tolerate losing very well. But I just had to run a 427 AC Cobra(kit car) a few years back, even though I knew he would eat my lunch. Hearing its engine wind up, and its exhaust roar from 40-100 mph was definitely worth having to swallow a loss.
