Dusted A GMC Syclone
Hell, I never even knew this vehicle existed before last night. But one pulled along side of me at a red light last night. It was a sharp looking all black beauty with the red Syclone logo on the side. I had no idea what it was packing, but the deep throaty exhaust at idle sounded good.
No chance to chat.
We just gave each other a nod, and we're off at the green.
It was neck and neck all the way thru 1st("What the hell!").
I pulled only a half fender by the top of 2nd("What the hell!")
Finally, I started pulling him badly in 3rd("That's more like it!").
We shut it down when I was half way thru 3rd and leading by 2 car lengths.
At another light he pointed at my car and said "She runs good." I told him the same about his truck, and asked what was under the hood. He said "Just a V6. It runs 12.5 all day long, but it started breaking up back there." Yeah, right.
Unfortunately, the light turned green before I could ask him any more questions about his ride. We gave each other a quick thumbs up, and went our separate ways. I'm thinking if he's got a V6, then it has to be either S/C'd, T/C'd, or juiced.
Today my curiosity got the best of me, so I researched his truck. After reading the following link, I found out why his truck ran so strong, and that he may not have fed me a line of BS about his 1/4 times.

I dusted my house today.... I used a 200 shot of pledge... LEMON SCENTED!
xD
anywho, good kill... props for staying with from the light... those things are geared, powered and AWD to just destroy from a light
350lbs tq @ 3,600RPM stock lol.. plus they only have a 3.42 final drive ratio but 1st gear ratio is 3.06... damn thing just goes like someone lit a fire underneath it
with power launch on his stall I can see him running 12.5's easy on the strip if he hung with you just mashing it off idle like that... and like he said, CONSISTENT 12.5's... the trucks were pretty much foolproof to launch like a madman

I remember taking a ride in one of those trucks when it was new on the lot. Turbo, gearing, AWD, torque, equals one badass truck from a dig. All I remember is being pinned back in the seat all the way up to about 80 mph. Since then, I have seen people run some sick times in the Syclone and the Typhoons.
