Default 2011 V6 3.7L vs. 1999 Firehawk

So my best friend has a 1999 Firehawk trans-am and his mods consist of CAI, Full exhaust, 3:73 gears, and lowering springs (Auto). We were both curious on where caroline (my stock 2011 V6 with 2:73 gears) would stack up. Mind you with my old 2000 GT, CAI, Full exhaust, full suspension, 4:10 gears, (no nitrous) 93 dyno tune, would get crushed by 3-5 car lengths from a roll like we did; Each and every single time...

So we line them up on mexico cruising around 55 and we did a 3 honk. We both took off and by 95 was when he started pulling on me. We were dead even until then. Around 110 we both shut off with him only 1-1.5 cars ahead of me.

We are both surprised of the turn out! Especially this car being BONE STOCK! Caroline continues to impress me. Next mods in the near future will be axle back exhaust, CAI, and a dyno tune when ever shops near here know how to tune them well!

Those results are pretty suprising. The Firehawk owner might want to get to a machanic and find out whats wrong with his ride.

His car ran a 12.8 at 108 at the track. There is no way this car has that in her!! However my car is really strong in third gear! REALLY STRONG! After 95 though he was walking pretty hard. It is what it is. I wish I had a video. He took a video of another race but not this one.

So you were dead even from 55-95 but he put a car and a half on you from 95-110?... doesn't make sense.

Yes, once his car shifted it ran away from me. Looked like my car stopped trying.
