Well what a day. Just got my 1988 Mustang GT 5.0 with AOD last week. All stock 61,000 miles in 100% mint condition with 17 inch chrome cobra wheels which should have been 16 inch in front do to rubbing. Took it to the dragway a couple of nights ago and was shocked. first run 15.80@89.67 second run 15.84@89.45. My last run i let off because the guy came in my lane so it was a 16.17@87.37. Today I checked the timing and holy **** it was at 9 degrees. I advanced it to 14 degrees set the TPS to .99v and took the air silencer out. What should it run now? Im taking it to the Milan Dragway Wednesday. Anyone else going to be there? So my bigest question what should it run now?

thats pretty freekin slow..that might get u .25 of a second i dont know

its not the diameter of the rim that causes rubbing on that car. its the size of tire on the front. anything larger then a 235 usually rubs on pre 91 cars

and also the back spacing and rim width
