Default Ran a Full bolt on NE GT

Well 2 of my friends were going out to run so we had a few people follow. So I got to watch 2 runs at the same time go down...

First run 98 GT gears (don't know what gears) 02 GT motor cai, maf, sct tune x-pipe cat back vs 02 GT full bolt on (other than headers) 4.10's dr's. 98 gt won by a car.

2nd run 05 whipple gt 4.10's dr's axle back stock mid pipe and manifolds 465whp vs 11 gt cai, lt's x-pipe 4.30s tune on street tires 433whp 05 gt won by 1 1/2 cars due to 11 gt spinning and the 11 was pulling back in 5th gear.

On to my race Fox full bolt on's explorer intake 1.7rr's 3.73 gears vs NE vert gt full bolt on 275whp 4.10's

he wouldn't slow down below a 55 roll so I pulled it back to 3rd and we took off at the same time he was inching me barely I slammed 4th and stopped the pull he shifted to 4th (pretty slow) I started pulling and by the time I reached 6k in 4th his front bumper was right at my door. It was a good night

I bet that explorer intake helped a crap ton during that race lol, good kill man, always nice to hear stories of le olde fox

I am however very very skepticle of the 98 GT pulling the 02 GT... the guy must have had at the very least close to full bolt on's... either that or a PI swap with just gears, or gears and spray

either way I think it's safe to say he was leaving some mods out

edit: woops, my bad... I read it as 98 GT with just gears beating an 02 GT with a bunch of bolt on's lol... after re-reading I got it now

Thanks man I will say when I did the explorer intake on my car I could tell a big difference, also did a egr delete and 160 t-stat .

With the 98 gt it does have a pi motor stock tb and plenum jlt cai and we think it has 3.73 gears. The 02 gt he ran only went 8.54 in the 1/8 as the car sits. And just last week the 98 gt ran my gf's 01 gt and he put 3/4 of a car on me... I've put a cai on her car now so I wanna rerun him this weekend you'll probably see a few more race stories of her car and my car very soon lol

If this post seems f'ed up im on my phone so i'm sorry about that

Good races, close too.

Thats impressive that the 11 GT was pulling back on that Whipple. Says a lot about the new 5.0.

Nice run against that GT. He's making pretty good numbers for a 2 valver. Would of been an interesting run from a dig.

It's a Older guy probably around dad's age?? But it's black on black on black with chrome bullet wheels has a bullet gas door on it. Very clean car, but the guy was kinda of a dick tho, I told him good run car looked and ran very good. He didn't say anything at first, then he proceeded to talk about how he busted a Fox body's *** about a week ago by 7-8 cars from a 40 roll and didn't even have to down shift past 3nd.... Basically implying the old 5.0's are slow..

As for what happened the other night the same thing happened the next night to a formula LT1 firebird lol. Dude I could go on and on, you gotta think just between me and Jon in the T/A we have run every bit of at least 30 times in the past month just in my car not including the NE Gt hahahah (witch was very bad by the way.... Me getting drug about 8 cars bad) along with everybody else that I've run, So yea. lol

Thanks man, That 11 GT is awesome!! Both cars run within a tenth of each other in the 1/8 with the 11 GT running and trapping just barely better.

The NE vert is making really good numbers, he never said anything about running it at the track before, but did say he would love to run again from a lower roll. Both of us are on dr's MT et radials at that so a dig run or a slow roll would be really fun!! He did say he was having some trans troubles causing him not to be able to shift that fast so he's going to try to get that fixed in the next week or 2 and come back out and play

Why is the whipple so slow? He should be trapping a higher mph I would think

Kerns (sp?) has 400whp in his 2V and is trapping 90mph in the 1/8. 93 is pretty quick.
