Went out for some runs last night. Cobra race was kinda a SNAFU. I started in 2nd in a poo poo spot and spun a bit and let off early due to some traffic. He had to leave so we didn't get a second try. Race against the Roush was clean. Also ran my friend's big cam (242/244 vindicator) Z28 and pulled ~4-5 cars and it wasnt caught on camera. Both camera people from last night are fired lol. Then to top it all off my car went home on a flatbed, pretty sure the T-stat took a dump. I got it off zee highway in the middle of the hood and when the truck finally showed up, Mader from the movie cars was the driver. We had to rip out a piece of sidewalk in order to get my car on the bed without scraping. What a nightmare.

You rolled that Rousch pretty hard, I wasn't expecting it to be quite that brutal. Sorry you had to call the roll back though. I know how that feels, lol.

Not sure on power. With my current cam i would say 450ish rwhp. With the cam i want to put in, people are making in the 490's. I need to have my tuner clean it up a bit as well. 11:5 AFR is a bit too rich for an N/A car at WOT. Car also needs some gearing! I want to put in 4.30's and get tires for my new set of racestars which are collecting dust. It NEVER ends. I have a couple exams this week, so after that i will see what is up. There is no coolant getting into the combustion chamber, plugs are all fine, no smoke etc. No coolant in the oil. Need to get my hands on a pressure tester and go from there. Best case (fingers crossed big time) is a shot T-stat.

Eventhough it was a botched race, i am impressed with that cobra. With only the CAI and a catback he ran 12.0 @ 117 last year on street tires. Since then he pullied it added a catless H pipe, dr's , and had brookspeed tune it. He is def in the 11's @ low-mid 120's for sure. When i get my hoopty fixed we are having a rematch, i expect i will pull it by ~2 cars.

didn't your friends car with the vindicator cam, i think its a red camaro, use to pull you by a length or two before? now your leaving him by 4-5 cars? thats a hell of an improvment.


If it was just an over heating issue, make sure the radiator isn't blocked up ether.

Yeah, same red camaro. We went from 1st gear, i spun my *** off, finally hooked in 2nd and started to pull him, was even through 2nd, then started to freight train in 3rd and 4th. Car really feels strong. I cant wait for some better gears and tires that hook!
