Celica GTS VS RX-8
Ok... so if you raced a celica 6-speed stick vs a RX-8 with 193 HP whats gonna win in a twisted road? I think it would be a drivers race... and if the RX-8 was one with 238 HP what would the outcome be then?

I dunno. GTS's will run 14.8s in the quarter with someone who knows how to properly manipulate that wonderful 6 speed shifter, that's about what the 238 hp RX8s supposedly run.
In the twisties I honestly have no idea... the Celica has it by 500 lbs, and is one of the better handling FWD vehicles on the market, but the weight distribution on the 8 is absolutely perfect.
GTS - 1.8L Inline four, 180 hp, 130 ft lbs, 2500 lb curb weight (with 6M)
RX8 - 2.6L twin rotary, 238 hp, 159 ft lbs, 3,029 lb curb weight (with 6M) - one more feature, it has a perfect 50/50 weight distribution.

It's a 1.3, but it has twice as many combustion cycles as a regular piston engine, so technically it can be counted as a 2.6.

I just thought I would share.... Engine displacement is measured using the bore and stroke...Engine cycle is measured by the amount of power strokes per cycle.. The engine in the mazda I believe is a renewed B13 that has two rotors and two plugs per rotor ( if this is based on the older B13) this I believe would fire twice per rotor rotation making it most similar to a 1/2 cycle.. Not to step on toes here just trying to explain

So the celica would kill the 193 HP RX-8 Model and it would be a drivers race for the 238 HP RX-8 ??? What about straight away.. or from a roll like say 35 mph up... Some RX8 is talkin chit around here..
