Yea, I have the 555r tires on now, and they hooked very well I think. I did not try any aggressive launches, I just went easy and drove as if they were sticky street tires. I'm still on the stock clutch. Yes, I realize my best 60 is weak, even N/A I got high 1.9s on street tires.

but even granny shifting, with a blower you should at least be seeing more MPH.

380+rwhp with a blower should be around 120mph. maybe less since its a heavy S197? but idk. 120mph sounds right considering its blown to me.

sound's like your transmission is screwed.
Well I.hope not. I hope its the POS hurst shifter i have. We will see.

From what I've seen, 120 is high for my HP and blower. Maybe on slicks and powershifting every gear, most of the time I see S197s closer to 500rwhp positive displacement blowers hit 120. Centrifugal and Turbo cars will trap higher too. I think the way it stands, if I could speed shift the car will at least have 115 in it.

thank you, I've got a few mods on the factory Roush car but I still do have the stock pulley!

120 traps require at least 425-430 rwhp in a full weight S197

I don't think the traps are that far off.

As mentioned already the 60' could use improvement and mid 12s are attainable.

Speaking of weight, my car is only 3550 (full weight) according to the track's scale.....seems a little light. Also, my car isn't too far off those #'s I don't think....That's about where the tuner put me on a dynojet.....though I still don't see close to 120 for me.

They're a little low, but an improvement in launch and being able to shift aggressively will see an improvement on that end. It was a little windy too, my friends goat was 2.5MPH off trap for such nice weather. Also, there was a stock GT500 trapping 110 though he was only running high 13s.

Were you on the 18's with the 555r's? Or do you have another set of wheels?

There's you're problem.. you're only running 5-6 psi!

Grab a 500hp kit, possibly with a 2.49 pulley- re-tune and with some seat time you should be seeing very low 12's.

Throw an AFCO dual fan XXL heat exchanger and you'll never have to worry about heat ever again.. let that M90 SCREEEEEEAAM..

I ran my 17" bullitts.

For now, I'm sticking with the stock pulley. I could have easily thrown it on before the tune but the car is quick enough and I feel very safe.

hard to compare MD to DJ (yes I know they generally show lower #s) however the trap speed proves the power

You have to launch harder if you say the 555Rs are working

The 555r's are a good tire if you heat them properly. I seen several 1.6's on that tire with less power than the OP makes. Mine were 15" though....
