Default 2006 GT at the track: TAKE TWO

Okay, well this time at the track netted much better results. Tires.......yea. I feel I didn't even tap the potential of the car today so I was pretty happy.

Still having gear grinding and lockout issues.....but that's for another thread. Simply keep in mind every run except for the first was conducted with shifting slower than my grandmother's.

All runs had wimpy burnouts, the second one was particularly weak. All runs had launches around 3500RPM and shifts were at 6000 - 6250RPM (limiter 6500). Again, I mention the intentionally slow shifting as to not grind or miss shifts.

First Run: 2nd gear grinding during the 1 - 2 shift. 3rd would not go into gear (tried twice) until I hit the brake.....anyway, not a good run.

60': 2.079
330: 5.985
1/8: 9.187@80.49
1000: 11.838
1/4: 14.006@105.27

Second Run: first 13 second run since installing the blower lol. I was happy with the 110+MPH.

60': 2.050
330: 5.829
1/8: 8.760@83.36
1000: 11.262
1/4: 13.323@110.40

Third Run: Felt great, was happy when I got the slip.

60': 1.958 (very poor for DRs)
330: 5.598
1/8: 8.427@86.62
1000: 10.850
1/4: 12.856@113.16

Fourth Run: Spun 1st a little and knew I was off pace. Was shooting for a 12.6 - 12.7 as the weather was getting better and my runs were improving.

60': 2.023
330: 5.696
1/8: 8.591@84.83
1000: 11.071
1/4: 13.127@110.49

Huge improvements over last time! Congrats on the 12 second slip man. The driver mod is definitely starting to set in, just keep going and those slips will only get better and better.

Very nice! Amazing what a difference traction made in the 1/8th mph.

He already has DRs, Shewiff. He just needs to get them warmed up right and leave at a higher RPM.

Didn't see any tire listed in the post. He needs a better one!

don't wanna sound like too much of a dick.

but even granny shifting, with a blower you should at least be seeing more MPH.

380+rwhp with a blower should be around 120mph. maybe less since its a heavy S197? but idk. 120mph sounds right considering its blown to me.

sound's like your transmission is screwed.

Great times. They're standard on stock 427Rs, but you're trapping better
