Having planned on the vortech $1500 build (plus the intercooler) I think either are going to make me cringe when I see the final $$. (I run my car in the winter every year, and I'm thinking the vortech clearance issues may erase that option.) What am I looking at cost wise for a setup to get 350-400rwhp?

a non-ported eaton is going for $350 with shipping on average.
(a lot are going for 400+ but you can find $350 shipped if you wait like 1 week)

A ported eaton like mine is around $600+ I got mine for $520 shipped with some haggling.

I have seen M90's sell for $90-150. But they are maxed at 8psi on a v8, and puff more heat then anything. while a M90 will get you a good jump in power, they have different bolt patterns and such, so upgrading from a m90 to a m112 requires a whole new adapter kit.

Total spent for me is going to be around $2,000. but i got a good deal on the adapter kit for my car, and I will be tuning it myself (PMS tuner is included in that $2k)

If you are looking for cheapest route, nitrous is your answer...... which i will just so happen to be selling a ton of nitrous parts here soon

Wow, that's a lot less than I thought. Couple of questions:

What's the specific benefit of porting the blower?
Do you see any clearance/adapter issues on my 4.6L-2V?
What are some of the accessories I'll need for a complete build? (I'm guessing some of the things like new injectors (42lb?), intercooler, focus fuel pump, etc..)
These are roots type blowers correct?
The blower looks like it covers the area of my current TB&P, does this replace or relocate the TB&P?

Thought about nitrous, but with the setup I was looking at it was getting close to $700-800 with all the accessories. I also don't like the idea of having to refill the bottles.

Already have a tuner, so there's a good chunk off the price.

porting the blower just lets it huff more air. Since this blower basically is just pulling air into the motor at a VERY fast rate, instead of compressing it, the more air it can flow, the more power it will make

4.6l can use the original intake manifold from cobras and junk (not sure if it match's to the heads) but the lower intake on 4.6's let the blower lay in the oil vally, where on a 5.0 kit like im getting it sits ontop of the lower intake, so your talking about a difference of almost 6" of install height.

for the blower you will just need injectors, fuel pump, a way to tune it, and gaskets really. Plus whatever 4.6l's need to get the blower on the car, I.E. a cobra lower intake, or whatever you guys use. not sure. you might need a different pulley bit, or to relocate the alternator, these things im not sure of, because its a 4.6l.

The M112 is a roots, it moves air very fast, a twinscrew (whipple, kenne bell) compress the air as it comes it.

the kit for the 5.0 uses a adapter that makes the foxbody throttle body fit the blower.
