I remember pounding on an 03 routinely in the wifes 96 Z28 back in the day. She had a 2.73 geared auto that ran 14.3 @ 98mph bone stock on an awesome 2.2 60ft... I would yank the guy pretty good every time we ran from a roll. I think we had an easy dozen races over a 2 year period.. not sure if he was stock every time but he was never able to keep up.

Shouldnt an older 350 run 14.0-14.1 with an above average driver? Just wondering how much of it is the drivers making the cars look bad.

It should. But just like anything for every stone out there that can ring out every bit of performance from their ride, there is 10 guys that just flat out suck and will probably run a 15 in that car.

Yeah with great conditions/launch..I think I remember some of them breaking 13s. They trapped mid 90s though for the most part, catch them from a roll they seemed to struggle for some reason.

The way most of the 350 guys act, you would think they were driving around in 11 second cars, lol.

What speeds did you get to? I never go over 100ish usually as these 4.0s run out of breath and so do the drive shafts lol.
I think I may have reached around 60. I didn't check the speedo. It was just a quick stoplight to stoplight thing, so I didn't go overboard on it. It's already bad enough that it was out on the street, so I'm not willing to go past that.

Auto. I really hope so and I can't wait til that day comes. My current work situation will not allow me to spend so much money at once. I can afford it right now if I wanted to, but I just don't wanna shell out so much money at once. Gotta keep some cash saved up in case of an emergency.

I'm sure the driver has a lot to do with it (duh! ). The cai didn't really add any noticable power to the car, and back when I was only running the 91 race tune and dual exhaust, I ran against another 350Z. I can't tell the difference between the newer and older 350Zs, so I can't really tell you which one it was. But anyway, it seemed that I was just slightly trailing him the whole time, once I reached 60 though, I knew I wasn't gonna catch up to him anymore so I let off the gas and started slowing down. I guess he must have just been playing with me cuz then it seemed like he really stepped on it cuz that thing FLEW! I got smoked that time so seeing last night's outcome, I'm sure it was one of the older models and the driver sucked.
