Default Video of my GT500 at the track

Hello all... now that I finally got my post count up to be able to post in this section, I thought I would throw in a video of my 07 Shelby at the track. Only 1/8th mile, but still fun. This was from this past November when I still had the stock blower on the car

Cool video, you car looks awesome. Now time to go to the 1/4 where you can really put all that power to use on the top end. I've heard the Vmax drag way in Charlotte is really nice, how far is that from you?

Thanks! I am really not sure what its going to run with the new setup. Along with the blower, I added BMR rear suspension (adj. UCA & adj. LCAs), 1pc. alum. driveshaft, and will be using a better drag radial (M&H 275/60/15). My current best is a 7.23 @ 101.50 (1.67 60ft), and I think with the 1pc DS and suspension the car would have run in the 7.0-6.9 range with an agressive tune on the stock blower. I would like to see 6.50's at around 105-106mph by the end of the year, but it will probably take a little tweaking to get it there. As quick as the torque comes in I might have to switch to a full slick to hit that number.

Vmax is a little over a 2 hour drive, but I am going to go try it this year. I am just worried about tech... hopefully on the "street" nights they will not be as strict. At least I can get one "hail mary" pass in

Awesome vid!! That car has some killer top end trapping 100 in the 1/8th like that. I'd love to see her roll out in the 1/4.

Worried about tech? Head on down to Fayetteville with me sometime. Tech doesn't exist there...or helmets, lol.

Thanks... yeah, about the time it starts really pulling good I am at the stripe in the 1/8th. Run through at 6200 in 3rd, so the last half would be interesting to see what kind of mph it would produce.

I didn't know there was a 1/4 track in Fayetville?? Might have to look into it after I get used to driving it again.

Lol!! Godzilla got sent back to Japan.

Actually, the guy that owns that car is a really nice dude, and he has run a best in the 1/8th of 7.30s totally stock. Its funny though, I have a video of that race just by itself on youtube, and you wouldn't believe the BS responses I have gotten from SO many people saying the video is fake, or there is no way I would outrun a GTR. A lot of people really buy into the hype with those cars. Yes, they run great, but they are not unbeatable by any means.

Yea, pretty decent track too (Fayetteville Motorsports Park). I've been getting 1.8s out of it on street tires. What part of NC are you in? Raleigh here...

Ah, I know exactly where that is. My wife is from Asheville and my pops is way the hell out in Murphy.

They do test n tune every Sunday from 12-5 weather permitting. Once it warms up it'll move to Friday nights from 7-12.
