Default '00 Mustang GT vs '06-'08 Charger R/T

I had a run with a stock looking '06-'08 Charger R/T with a passenger driving back from MA today. Did a quick run starting at 60, thinking I was probably going to see tail lights. When we took off, I put about 1/4 car length on him by 80, then I started to pull him a bit. Ended up 1 car length ahead when we killed it at 110. Wanted to run again, but he ended up getting off at the next exit. Gave him a thumbs up and got one in return and we went on our way.

Looking at the Charger's stats, what a whale! 4150lbs (plus a passenger) definitely wont help you in a race, although it does rate at 340hp. Also saw they have some pretty tall gears which would hurt too. Sound about right?

Thanks

It was my first race since the gears, LCAs and FLSFCs went in. Seemed like that could have been the difference in this one. Now to get the car to the track...

With your mods you have more than enough to take down a stock 340 HP Charger!! Nice kill!!

What about something like a 350Z/370Z/G37? I see a lot of them cruising around (including my friend's G37) but have yet to run with one.

Definitely no problem with a 350Z. You should be alright with a stock G37, the newest 370Z's run low 13's stock so that might be a pretty good challenge.

They are quick for being a boat. I ran one at the local track, he did a 14.2@100MPH.
