The heat may be helping with grip, just ran a couple more runs and they were all 2.09 to 2.12. I've had to go twice after guys dripped fluid on the track and they scraped most of the rubber away *face palm* . Times are 14.1X but the adjusted DA is now 3850, lol. Looks like the temps are peaking at 95F here.
Btw, the rear tires are down to 32 PSI and feeling pretty good.

Ended up with 13 runs for the day, not bad for $35.

Last couple came in all real close to what I was running before:

14.346 @ 96.42
60' 2.215
CALT 3549: 13.727 @ 100.835

14.203 @ 97.62
60' 2.123
CALT 3847: 13.535 @ 102.497

14.182 @ 97.37
60' 2.126
CALT 3824: 13.52 @ 102.53

14.24 @ 97.44
60' 2.118
CALT 3639: 13.609 @ 102.024

14.156 @ 97.38
60' 2.109
CALT 3448: 13.564 @ 101.7

That's complicated... We've had customers running our LCAs down into the 1.teens in the 60-foot. But the suspension works as a total package. Your car/suspension is probably capable of 1.7X on 15" DRs and 1.5X on slicks. You wouldn't want to try that on factory LCAs because it wouldn't hook as hard and it would be super squirrelly due to the rubber bushings.

Really, 2.0 60-foot times on your 275 Sumitomos are not bad, although I think there's a 1.9X there on a perfect pass.

As for slicks vs DRs, you'll be hard pressed to find an expert who would say that a street car with a manual trans would be quicker on DRs than on slicks. I'd say that the best traction for your combo would be 26x10 M/T ET Drags on 15x10s.

My best 60-foot time on DRs with a combo similar to yours was a 1.69, but that was the best pass out of like 12-15 passes on separate trips to the track. Slicks are quicker AND more consistent.

Only thing about slicks is they create a little more drag, no?

Sharad, how big of a difference would it make running skinny tires up front if I get some of the M/T's?
