World's Quickest Coyote on 275's!!! 9.03@154
Made the 120 mile round trip to the local dragstrip today. We don't get mineshaft air here, but I knew we'd be corrected around sea level today. I swapped out my 315/60 dr's (29.7") that were taking me through the traps at 6850 rpms, for the new M/T 275's. I wanted to try to add a little more gear and go through at the top of 4th, and this tire seemed to be the right one at 28.2" tall. Based on the gearing calculations I had made, i figured this would get maximize the car for me.
Dropped the psi down to 15 for the first run, and went a 9.13@153 on the first hit. We had tried to calulate for the shorter gear on the shifts, but it still hit the limiter on the 1-2 and 2-3.
I sent the log off to Lund and Jon lowered the shifts on the 1/2 and 2/3 a bit more.
Lined her up, she felt so smooth going down the track, I wasn't sure if it went quicker or not. Got the new slip, 9.03 @ 154 mph!!! Since it was bracket day, I only got the 2 runs in as the race was starting, and you can only test during time runs. I didn't want to wait around 3 or 4 hours to try to make one more run.
Very happy with that run though. Car is 3850lbs. Still has heat, ac, wipers, Shaker 500W stereo, bluetooth, back up camera, and even with the full cage it's still got working visors, lol! This was @ 20 psi. Car is still running the full exhaust and mufflers all the way back over the axles, and out tailpipes. Car is running a Vortech JT Trim and fueled by E85!!!
We could have pulled some weight, but I wanted to run the car in 100% street trim, same way it's driven every day.
No other coyote has been as quick in full street trim. The only cars that have been quicker are on full slicks with either more boost / heavy weight reduction or all 3. (Still great cars) but I like to think this car really showcases what can be duplicated by anyone on a car in full street trim!
Next up YSI!!!!

The car has done pretty well in MMFF, 5.0, and race pages over the last 2 1/2 years.
I won the world finals in BG in Super Stang in 2010, and then the NMRA Super bowl this past july. We also competed in the king of the streets last year.
