new pb and a smoked clutch.
Made a couple passes at the track tonight, was hoping I could limp my clutch thru a few good passes if i didn't slip it and gave it an hour or so between to cool down. First pass was promising, Got there, swapped tires then went right up and ran my best time thus far, 11.21@125(with spray). Car should go much faster but was satisfied being warm and it spun thru the 60', only got a 1.69 there.
So let it sit about an hour, packed the intercooler with ice and cycled that thru a few times, got it nice and chilly, dropped the tire pressure a couple psi, went back up and it launched ok, but the clutch stated giving up pronto, started slipping top of 1st and into second, then was ok then started slipping into third so I got out of it. Deffinitely time for an rxt now. Guess I'll have to wait until next season for my 10 second slip :/

yeah going rxt this time, It's what I should have put in last year but this clutch was saposed to handle 750 ft lbs, guess that's a ways off. Even tho it never missed a beat on the street, just not a good clutch for the track.

Surprised you got that much use out of your clutch... lol RXT ftw... to be honest I liked the way the RST felt in my buddies Z06... I prefer the feel of a stock clutch setup but the RST was easy to live with, my understanding is the RXT feels about the same.

the rst and rxt use the same pressure plate so they should feel very similar. rxt just has a better disc. I've put quite a few in gm cars the past couple weeks. Just put one in a zr1 this past week. I love how they feel, silky smooth. Ofcourse those are all on hydraulic clutches so mine wont feel quite as nice. I could really care less about pedal feel tho, as long as it's not terrible to drive on the street and handles some track abuse I'll be ok.

Congrats on the new PB!!
I had an RST in my Procharged '11 GT and have an RXT in my '93 GT with the TKO 600. They feel very much the same in both cars. The RXT in my Foxbody is the slickest clutch I have ever had in one of those cars. I will be glad when I get it back from the tuner's shop so that I can try it out at the track.
