Hey Guys,

I went to our local track last week and ran a '13 Camaro SS 1LE a few times.
Before i start i recently added a few new mods 2 months ago which include; TCI 3500 stall, Dynotech one-piece driveshaft, UCA, LCA's, Nitto NT05R 305's on 18" GT500 wheels.

Our track doesnt have any timing equipment.

All races we're pretty much consistent. I immediately jump out 2-3 car lenghts ahead of him and hold it until the end of 2nd gear, after which he starts pulling hard, by the end of the track we're basically almost side by side but keep a short distance ahead of him, less than half a car length. We ran 4-5 times. He launched with launchcontrol most of the times, the 3rd run he launched hard without it, but ended up spinning through first and second gear.

Overall i was surprised i kept up with him, i won but not by much. My mods don't give me any big hp gains, i expect to be around 300rwhp. It was his first timing running his car at the track, but he made lots of practice passes during the entire day.

If it wasn't for my torque converter i'm sure it would've been a different story.

Confirms how a lighter car with less hp can finish first with only a few strategic performance mods. I bet he was a little butt hurt.
And FWIW, he may have won if he knew how to launch w/o the launch control enabled.

@ Stkjock, yes, his only mod is an aftermarket cai. the car is bonestock besides that. he's only had the car for approx 2 months.

@ Ski, yes i'm sure that if he launched the car better without lightning up the tires, i would've gotten less of a jump and he would've reeled in before the finishline. I respect his car, it pulls hard in 3rd gear!

I'm probably gonna run him again in the future, i'm sure he's not coming back without a few upgrades. in which case i'm pretty sure he'll get me.

Any stalled auto is going to be a handful at the track. I'm not surprised at all you yanked him through the 1st half of the track.
