Default Haven't posted in a while, had a good run tonight though! TT TA vs R1 inside

Ran my friend's R1 tonight

My car is-

Forged 6.0
twin Precision 6262's
Tu1 225/225 cam
6sp w/ 3.25's
stock 317 truck heads
LS6 intake
I was on 13psi of boost here

Full exhaust
power commander
auto tune

very nice! kept him in check quite nicely. With all that money spent on the turbo setup and shortblock whats the advantage of keeping stock 317's and a ls6 intake? or is it that using a force fed setup a good set of heads/intake doesn't have as much gains?

There are some definite gains to be had with nice heads and a larger camshaft. The intake is debatable, some say yes some say no. My friend's car went 8.3's at 160+ with the stock intake though. The main reason people run aftermarket heads is for the thicker deck to run higher boost. As it is, on a dynojet 13psi is mid-high 800's and 17 is probably close to 1000. More power than I need

But new shiny parts are always fun and we are approaching winter, so who knows lol

I miss that car. Too bad the jerkoff i sold it to put it into a swamp. I want to get into an '01 Highland Green Bullitt though for my next project to park next to the T/A. I am selling the '95 to a friend so i will have room in zee garage
