Question, have you tried airing those tires back up? 15 pounds is awful low pressure for a drag radial. DRs don't really work like slicks do. DRs have a street tire side wall/characteristic. Slicks have thin side walls, wrinkle up, etc. You MAY be actually getting less contact (center of tread not making contact) on that low pressure, idk...would love to hear some more opinions. I run my 555Rs at the same psi I run my street tires on and pull 1.6-1.7s on them.
I think you're right, Stone. Even though my 60ft stayed about the same as I lowered the psi, the car seemed to come off the line more consistent and smooth. On a "good" launch, I would slightly bog, then hook and go, or I would spin, feather, hook and go, that was when I was at 14psi cold, which after a pass would be around 16psi hot. I started getting wheel hop after lowering pressure to 13psi hot, and I was getting some decent spin on my 1st-2nd shift, at the time I just thought it was something I was doing, but the more I've been reading up on air pressures used for this tire, I think I was down too far. I need to figure it out, there is nothing left to be had in my 93 tune, my tuner really came through for me, now it's up to me to get the most out of what he gave me.

I'll be heading back nov 6th, this time I am going to start a little higher with the air psi, I would love a sub 2sec sixty. Thanks for the feedback, i'll have vids this time

If I'm not mistaken wouldn't the under inflated tire cost you some mph as well? Looks like a lot more left in it man. Good luck!

I gotta start getting in on these threads before stone, He always says exactly what I'm thinking lol. I'd air them up to around 20 or so atleast and start from there. The lowest I'd advise running on dr's is 18 or so. But that aside, those are some sweet times for the few mods! Really impressive. What's the purpose of the e85 splashed in? Will that be like adding torco or something?

Yes. It's to help raise the octane a little to ward off knock.

I've thought about the effects of e85 a lot in regards to reducing knock, but never hear anyone talking about it, so I haven't tried it. My TBSS knocks under high RPM a bit, I may try mixing a gallon of E85 to a full tank..see if it does the trick.

GM seemed to struggle during the LS2 period... Almost every LS2 car I know of had some funk with the stock tune (sounds like you have it too).
