Default Timeslips from the track! Full Bolt-On 07 GT

Hey Guys,

Our first and only track here just got their timing. So i was excited to finally see what my car would run! Before i was using my G-tech SS Pro.

From all the runs ive made that day, i have to say that the G-tech SS is pretty accurate. The difference between the G-tech and my time slips were never more than 0.1 seconds.

I'm a bit dissapointed, i was expecting to be in the high 12's with the skinnies, hoosiers and stripped interior. This was on 93 octane fuel. Unfortunately i kept running 13.1xx every single time. (took a 20min cooloff break in between)

Later that day when the track was closing i made a final run after adjusting the tune for VP 110 Unleaded racefuel with a methanol mixture. The track timing system had already shut off but my G-tech showed me 12.87. I'll confirm it with a timeslip this weekend.

Check out the pictures!
It was really hot that day, 36 degrees celcius.
BTW I'm C16 on the timeslips.

Not bad at that temperature.

I'm cracking up at the dude covering his face during your burnout. I'd have my face right next to the tires, wafting the air up to my nose to smell all of that smokey tire goodness!!

Lol, mmmmmm, I can smell now.

What's on the list for mods, with a car that looks like it runs 10's, 13's just gotta be tearing you up inside. Just kidding but good luck. Looks great.

Well first off, your sixty is not good for having racing tires on the car. Did you do a good burnout and what tire pressure are you running in the tires? Secondly the heat there in that country has to be oppressive. That'll kill your power. My wifes Camaro ran 13.0s in 95 degree heat and ran 12.6s in good fall air of 38 degrees. Your KPH should be good for 12s with the right launch.

2.1 60 ft. on slicks and skinnies? a cooler day and better launch ought to do the trick!

Hey Guys,

I forgot the mention, our track is a "budget" track. The picture where i'm making the burnout is just pure concrete.

You launch on concrete and after about 15meters it has a small bump after which it becomes asphalt (just a street basically). There is NO track prep whatsoever.

@bluebeastsrt, take a look at this clip;
as you can see the track is in the middle of a sandbox, and you can see how much dust blows upward everytime a car makes a pass. Also take a look at the part where the track material changes. I doubt i can do any better but ill definitely try. Take a look at the channel to see what we (dragracers from suriname) have to deal with.

BTW, thats a 2013 Super Cobra Jet in the vid, his best time is 10.15 @ 224kph with a 150shot.

bad *** car man, back when I have my 3v I ran 13.1 on 20s with street tires with nothing but flowmasters and a k&n intake. can't remember if I had the x pipe yet; and no gauges lol it was a 5 speed though.

@shelby305, thats a great time. like i mentioned our track is just a regular road. the burnout area is concrete. the first 15meters of the track is concrete aswell, after which you have a small bump when it becomes asphalt. needless to say it is by no means a prepped track.

I'm sure my car would run significantly better on a prepped track. My new best time at the same crappy track is 12.09 @ 186kph. This was on 100shot nitrous. Temperature was approx 32 degrees celcius.
