Default Took my 2011 5.0 to TnT 12.20 @ 116

After work on Wednesday, the guys decided to run over to PBIR for some Test n Tune. My 2011 GT has UPR's Handling Package on it, so it's low and stiff, with hard street tires, but I'm always down for a little drag racing so I improvised.

It has the MT-82 manual trans, factory 3.31 gear, a BBK CAI, UPR 93 Octane Tune, UPR x-pipe, and the stiff suspension I mentioned. I had to finesse it off of the line, since it is certainly NOT a drag race setup, but I was able to coax a 1.95 short time out of it, and a 12.20 @ 116.

This is the only pass we got on video, and it was a huge bog-

My little corner carver sure didn't set the dragstrip on fire, but I had a blast!

Nicely done! Even a set of drag radials would shave a good bit off that time regardless of the suspension. Not a bad compromise for someone looking for a set-up that can multi-task a bit, imo.

Very impressive, indeed! Just goes to show that even with standard 3.31s, the car is still a beast!

Thanks guys. I love this setup for a daily driving. It handles great, but it'll still go down the quarter mile if I need it to. Much fun was had by all!

That mile per hour is crazy for the limited amount of mods.

Thanks. I'm very pleased with it. As much as I hate to admit it, I might have to run it again with some DRs. I'd like to see some 11s.

All I have to do is look at your times, look ad these times http://ls1tech.com/forums/gen-5-cama...imes-list.html and know, I made the right choice

Good driving too. Seems rare that I see good 1/4 mile times from the manuals.

I'd agree.. that left lane looks like it's reading wrong... had that issue at my track, only reversed, was reading low.

Those times are a joke on the bolt on list! Some of those guys should be in the mid-low 11s with their MPH/mods. I've went 12.66 on stock tires with intake/exhaust/tune in a weak L99. Most of the L99 cars on that list are stalled, Drag radial cars. I'm usally embarrassed for the other Camaro owners at the track. Cammed/Drag radial 6.2 liter cars running mid 12s. And all they want to do is sit around and talk about how much better looking their cars are.

Agreed. To be honest, I seldom see too many impressive ETs over there. Too much modding, not enough practice imo.
