Went to Gainesville Raceway Saturday, was able to hit my goal of mid 12's on the stock intake and exhaust.

Mods-Upgraded fuel pump internals, weight reduction, slicks/skinnies, rear motor mount and custom tuned on an e85 mix.

What? I had no idea they were capable

bluebeastsrt 01-19-2014 11:59 AM

Congrats on hitting your goal. How are you launching?

Thanks, Blue. I have to dump the clutch around 5500-6k, anything lower and I bog out of boost. My tuner wants me to set up LC so I'm building boost, and can maybe set my LC rpms more in my power band to get out harder. My best 60' was running 11psi in the tires.

I was going to offer some advice but that's exactly how I did it in the SRT-4. You guys have some type of torque management in first gear correct? Maybe that's whats hurting the 60 foot. I cut low 1.7s with a few 1.6s thrown in when it was warm out on the 8 inch Mickey Thompson slicks. I love to see the little 4 bangers out there running with 5.0-6.4 liter V8s.

The tq management in 1 and 2nd gear have been removed from my car, so the LC is what I am trying next. I would be ecstatic if I cut low 1.7's, I know the tire has it, it's me that has to find it. I'll gladly take any advice you have for me, you're one of the few here that has high hp boosted fwd experience.

Well I had coilovers all around so I could dial in the suspension. I think you'll get that 1.7 sixty and run 12.4 maybe high 12.3 before you make anymore mods.

Man, that thing is so quiet on the video! It just cruises on by and then BAM, those times! Lol, that's awesome dude. I didn't really know that they were THAT capable with such few mods.

I feel like I've asked this before, but about how much weight reduction have you done? I know the main loss is in the wheels/tires, but just curious.

Great times man, get that 60' dialed in and she'll be DEEP into the 12's.
