Talking First Time on the strip.

2004 440a Roush Stage 3. First time ive ever been on a strip. I had lots of fun, and didn't do TOO bad, i spun way way WAY too much...need to control the beast :P Any tips are much appreciated. Im thinking with a tune, and if i hook up good, i can squeeze a high 12 out... i know .5 seconds is a lot to milk... but it should be doable in my opinion...Oh and feel free to make fun of me for forgetting to turn traction control off

Even with the awful spinning ran
R/T... .096
60' ... 2.131
330... 5.872
1/8 ... 8.839 @ 84.44
1/4 ... 13.517 @ 105.11

Heres a video as well.. Enjoy- For the record, that was a 2013 Camaro in the right lane. SHE ran a 13.673@103.59

.096 reaction ? First time on a strip? Wow, My first run I think I had a 1.2 REaction time and ran over my cooler accidentally..lol. Doing well. Mr Roush sometimes goes to Bradenton and if you ask nice, he'll autograph your airbag cover. Roush products only.

As far as performance....two words.....drag radials

PS. if you are just running test and tune, leave your traction control on. If you spin the run is basically over anyways and if you hit some oil or something it could save you and your car. When actually racing, traction control is off. Just a bit of advice. But keep your a/c off at all times, even in the staging lanes. It drops water on the track.

Thatd be awesome, mine is already autographed, however, its fading. As far as my reaction time, my first run was a .470 or something like that...I guess im a quick learner...and i blame video games...I can't complain TOO much for what i was on...i was on continental extreme contact dws tires. 295's in the rear.

Congrats on the runs. Knocking 1/2 second off your time would be easy with good tires. The rule of thumb is that every 1/10th you drop your 60ft, you'll drop your ET 2/10ths.

Not bad... I pulled this off a few years ago... the RT was great...the time itself was HORRIBLE..(iirc this was the same day I went 12.8 @ 110 on a 2.060ft... I messed this run up bad just after the launch) If only I could get an RT like that on a great slip. haha

Congrats on a solid first outing. Get some drag radials and turn that 2.1 sixty into a 1.7! That'll put you in the 12's no problem.

It still blows my mind how much the 60ft/launch can change your times. When I first saw your post I was like 'wut'? lol

I agree with everyone here, slap some DRs on her and after a few more runs you should be running 12s easily. Badazz car btw, don't see too many of those around.
