Default 05 Stang GT vs HEMI RAM 1500

I don't make it a point to race trucks, but this guy obviously wanted to have some fun. Besides, you never know what lurks under the hood, no shame in getting shamed either. The video below tells the story better than I can in words:

I checked out specs on those rams after I got home, and they make some decent power out of the box. 395hp, 410tq. (it looked like the most recent model, but I am no truck guy so I could be wrong).

Weight is the deciding factor, but still, I think it moves out quite good for a full size quad cab truck! (that wheel-hop of mine though... I will definitely get suspension modifications when my stock shocks go).

Nice kill..

I beat the crap out of one (new 1500) last week at the track.. his 16.5 vs my 13.3

I even slaughtered a '13 Charger (stock), his 14.3 vs my 13.5..

They had no idea WTF was going on with my ride lol

Nice kill, and like you said, the next one you line up with might be a different outcome. That's what makes it fun. Win or lose, eh, it's just a little fun on the street.

just be careful to look for the Cummins badge. I once had one run a high 10 on me with a toolbox in the bed. Thought it would be an easy win.....I was wrong

Ditto.. lined up against a few quick trucks as well.. all I seen in the rear view was giant heaps of black smoke blowing out the exhaust, but even that was deafened by the sound of their spooling turbos as they flew by at at 80mph lol

I like matching up with most trucks. Beating trucks gives them an ego check lol. Although as some people have said, it is an idea to sometimes proceed with caution as you never know what you're gonna get

The newer regular Cab R/T Ram does "alright" too. They stuck a bigger stall in those along with some 4.10s for a little get-up off the line. I'm sure with some bolt-ons and tuning they could be interesting for the mid 13 crowd. Good run, OP.

lol my dad actually just picked up a fully loaded 1500 with the 5.7 Hemi.. it's a big comfy truck. It's not that quick but it feels like it takes up two lanes

Around here those F350 Super Duty pickups are everywhere. Big 3 pickups are the most common vehicle. What's most annoying is when they have those Bully Dog tuners which richen the mixture so that nothing but black smoke comes out. Lots of fun when you have your window down and one of these take off from a stop light. And generally they drive them like total morons.

Last week I took a mini road trip out of town.. two lane highway, I see this big rig coming towards me.. must have downshifted or something because as he passed me a giant puff of black smoke shot right into my driver window!
