Default Ran a GTO

Well on my trip back from Mexico a M6 gto flew up behind me and I could tell he wanted to play, the car sounded great as he flew up next to me. So first one I took the hit and got him to my rear bumper and held him there, second one we both kinda rolled into it and were pretty even. Both runs were quick, 55-95ish but he must have some work besides exhaust, I am making 428 hp through a tvs1900 and he kept up pretty good. On a side note I pissed off the fiance doing that and also found out my newly installed uca gives me some vibration around 95 lol.

Sounds like you ran a cam/exhaust LS2. Good run man!

Thanks! I was surprised at how good of a race it was but I bet he was too.

Edit: it was a 6.0 ls2 I saw the badge, I did not realize those came with 400 at the crank from the factory.

Yea, 400hp from 05-06. 04 Goats got stuck with an LS1, pretty underpowered for the weight. All of them respond to mods well though. The one you ran was most likely in the 420-440 RWHP range if he was "cam only".

I'm sure you surprised him! He probably rolled up on you expecting you just to be another 3V to roll on, lol. My younger cousin has a whippled 3V. He makes 430 RWHP on a very conservative tune. They pushed his to 450 but then backed it back down. I haven't ran him yet, but he would walk all over my GTO. The TQ curve is insane on that car. Comes in immediately and holds flat for days. I'm sure yours is probably like that too.

I only make 379 ft-lb but it is immediate and flat, and I am conservative on my 6lb pulley, I have a 9lb but want to get a little fun in on the stock clutch lol and ya def worth the money.

How are you doing with traction? That 9lb will definitely be a night and day difference. But I completely understand your reason for staying where you're at for now.

I have 4.10s as well so 1st is useless, second is fine though pulls very strong. I picked the supercharger up used and he made 467 on the 9lb, I have cams so I'd expect 480+ which means new clutch, and makes me nervous on the motor too.

Very nice OP. Thanks for the read. It's been darn slow on random encounters around here. Other than making a youngster's girl friend laugh at him in a rice puff the other day it's been a slow summer.

Sounds like fun times! I agree if you push it much more than 450 I'd start worrying about the bottom end, but sounds like it's running good right now. Like stone said, since your two cars are probably within 100 lbs of each other I'd guess he's in that same hp rating which means a good cam/full bolt ons or maybe a mild cam/ported heads setup.
