Just thought I'd share a laugh here. My stang is currently getting the clutch replaced and I hadn't been to a track day in a while.. well... I ran my 03 Taurus.
11.79 @60mph
Not bad... If you're racing a moped.
Although there was a late 90s civic that ran 12.00 so.. bicycles for it haha

You could definitely improve. Should be able to get that down to 2.6xx. What tire pressure did you run? Launch technique?

Just very low stall. Like maybe 1400rpm on launch. 35lbs probably. It has no traction issues whatsoever. Seriously, it's almost a challenge sometimes to get it to spin in the rain.

It's my DD so I didn't wanna stall it to hard as the trannys are the weak link in that body style. If I put a good size trans cooler on it I wouldn't be too worried to launch it harder.

But for a 1900 dollar car that gets me from point A to point B and can carry tons of groceries, I'm happy with it. The stang is for fun and the Taurus is for everything else lol

Oh well a bad day at the strip is better than a good day at work.

Hey Vert, I mixed up the numbers from slower runs. My bad. You were correct about the 60'.

My rt was horrid. But it's my first time back at the track in about a year and a car I've never ran. So had no idea how soon or late I needed to launch. This was the first and best run of the night
