1/4 mile time?

I have a 2014 GT 5.0 with a Ford Racing Supercharger, 3.00 pulley, long tubes, off road X pipe and exhaust, 4.10's, built rear end, with an auto trans, and a tune on E85 of 636 RWHP. What can I expect when I run it in the 1/4 mile? I'm going to a GOOD track in Thompson, OH.

Wheel and tire setup? Who's tune??

darkmach1 07-10-2018 10:01 PM

Where’s is peak power and where are the shifts at?

18" wheels with 285/40/18 Nitto NT05R's. The tune is from Jordan Performance in Florida. I don't know where the shift points are but I was told peak power was 626 HP/ 535 TQ to the tires.

Yea really depends where the shifts are set vs peak power. On the dyno the tuner might rev the car to 7600, might make peak power at 7500 but shifts are set at 7200. Though you made 620+whp, those shifts arent optimized for the setup. Just an example. First time out you might go 11.2-11.4s.

I REALLY want to hit a 10.99, just one good run, a 10 second slip, and I'll be done. Maybe I'll have the tune checked and tell them I want it set up for the 1/4 mile. I have an NGauge so I can use different tunes whenever I want. I have 4 in there now.

Go to track and log a couple passes and send to the tuner. They’ll get you setup. Just make sure you hook as good as possible. They can’t really do much if you spin the first two gears. 4.10s aren’t optimal, hope you atleast have a 28” tire.

I did some research before I went with the 4.10's and I was told that those were the best choice with my car being supercharged and an automatic. What would a better choice be, 3.73's? 1st gear is almost nonexistent now.

3.55s imo. They are good and leave you a little room to add some power.

3.15s have shown to be a great choice as the steep first gearing of the 6r80s

this thread is a little old, but have a lot of times for 4v blower cars
