turbo Jetta v Mach1...good race
I was headed down 460 yesterday headed to a friend's house...I had jsut left Caitlin's.
I was going about 45 mph and i see a guy in a jetta swerving in and out of traffic and then finaly gets up next to me. He gets behind me and starts riding my ****. So i drop it in second gear and break em loose right in front of him...
So he finaly gets enuff room in the next lane to get around me to get up next to me and pulls out next to me. I rev...he revs....i blow the horn 3 times and we are gone...I spun a little when i punched it and he got a nose on me. I quickly ran it up in 2nd and hit 3rd. When i hit 3rd i was dead even and then by the time i was going into 4th i had about 2 cars on him.
So we get down the road a few miles and he tries it again....but this time he tries a "Fly By"
I see him a few cars back accelerating hard in my direction....so i drop in second again...spin a little and go hit 3rd gear right as he got next to me and started to pull on him b4 he has a chance to get a nose on me again...Had to pull the "No fly By Zone" on him...
but in showing my respects to his car...
The thing was realy nice. It was red with black rims (real rims not those hub cap things) and blacked out windows. It was realy nice and realy clean....and it ran pretty good for a jetta. If i ever see him again i may extend him an invitation into the club.

you know what mods he has? they only have 180 hp stock in the 04's. a kid i know ha an 04 1.8t with an exhaust and a chip that gave him 50 hp he said and he thinks my 00 gt with intake and exhaust will get blown away by his car. havent had the chance to race though and i cant wait to but might have to wait till the summer

I'v ebeen impressed by a few VWs. I ran into one an ran from like 60-110 or so and he did reasonably well. I got him by maybe a few cars but nothng crazy like I had expected. The kid and I exchanged a thumbs and were off on our ways. Seems like thins ked was the same. Nice kill! I'm begining to respect the VW owners more and more with storied like this.

They "only" have 180 ft lbs also. Not too shabby for a turbo 1.8L engine.
