Bouncer, since you have an auto you can start by getting gears at least 3:73's and a shift kit from www.transgo.com do not forget to cal your speedo. This should be a good start and provide you with an advantage when racing but need to start thinking about other mods too.

You will get killed by an SS. Even it up with a 125 shot of Zex nitrous. My dads got it on a 268,000 mile 1986 GT and it never caused any problems. It also suprised alot of camaros and trans ams

huh, id otn think ive ever seen sideways recommend 4.30's before
why not go with a 4.56 and get taller stickier tires [&:],, kidding...
but like everyone else here has said, the only race your going to beat an LS1,, or even LT1 for now, is a race to the 60' mark if he's spinning the whole time, and even that might be a tight one[>:]
