Alright, a buddy of mine has a 2005 SRT-4 with stage 2, w/o toys, an intake, boost controller, and motor mounts. He is saying he's running mid 12's. I don't believe him, because he has wheel hop up the butt, and wont catch for crap. What do you guys think??

with a boost controller, I'd say mid THIRTEENS at best.

The stock suspension is horrible on the SRT4. It's not a car with anything close to cornering ability, so it's set up for drag (tight rear suspension, 0 camber, etc).

If he ever hits high twelves he'll be using some sticky as hell street tires and an upgraded suspension setup.

I believe they are a 14 sec car stock 1/4 mile, and with a good driver high 13s.
Thats what I have heard at least.

With just the mods mentioned, I could possibly see a low 13, but not mid 12's, unless hes got something else he aint telling you.

ha no ****, I acuttly raced one tonight, there quick he was running a 13.6 with exhaust, intake, chip, and maybe something else, we went at 15mph roll, I got 2 car lenghts on him, but half way threw third we went even, he was slowing gaining a half a car lenght and we both stopped... he gave me a ride in it after, I was pretty impressed

NO WAY he is running 12's.

in a fwd, he would need REALLY upgraded suspension to grab with that much power.. some extremely stiff shocks on the rear to reduce the weight shift on takeoff to really be able to launch worth a damn. With stock suspension I dont think those things can actualy break into the 12's.. they might trap really high but they just cant get it off the line. With an upgraded suspension and sticky tires I could see 12's on a good run but probably very low 13's.

Huh...srt4 owners had me under the impression that exaust tips make those cars run low-mid 9s.
