So I was driving along minding my own business last night, when some idiot in a jetta 1.8T kept tailgrabbin my ***. he makes the mistake of doing a flyby on a silver STI, and a couple lights later i find the STI sitting all alone. so i pull up beside him. only a few seconds before the green, and neither one of us launched. i think i kinda got the jump on him anyways though. well up to about 110 in 4th i put a few cars on him. considering my cars power is about 30 hp less than where it should be, i was happy. had we both launched it would have been a much more interesting race.

Good kill. I have yet to run an STI. I tried to play with a silver one on the highway, but he didn't bite.

You jerk, hes head/cammed/full bolt of GT. He has MORE power than a stock STI. Quite a bit more. If the STI doesnt have the advantage on the jump, he SHOULD win. I find it very easy to believe. Great kill man, I love your car.

AWD loses it's advantage on soft launches. If the guy launched his STI at 5000 rpm, then yeah he would have gripped and pulled.
