I live in ft myers, and last sunday (it was a cold moring for florida anyways) a older man prob 40 or so pulled up next to me in a srt8 charger. (nice car) He rolled up his window and pointed to me at the light. I wasnt sure if i wanted to race this guy im sure it was all stock, but he's got to be pulling close to my horespower. But what the heck i wasnt scared to lose. Well surprise surprise, i get him on the take off at the light by the time i got to 3rd gear i was a couple of cars a head, then we hit 120 and the road got a little curvie, luckly no one was on the road it was pretty early on sun. thats when i left him in my rearview........ When I rolled to the light he gave me a thumbs up......at least he's not a soar loser.........anyway thought it was a good kill..........

yeah they do i think the weight prob help like i said i didnt really smoke him untill we hit some curves, then after that he couldn't really hang

Those things run low 13's, I've even heard of high 12's. Good kill.

They run a low 13... with thier 425 hp engines... ... nice kill....

i think with a good run i can get the saleen to mid to high 12's with the s/c and re tune that i have, ive been driving drag for a while (mostly up in north georgia) so to the guys credit in the srt8 there no way he was getting me on a dig nor rolling in curves.............i would like to get this car in the high 10's or low 11's with out changeing engines........ first i need to get rid of those 20" tires, very overrated couse they do come in handy around curves..........any advice on how to get 500+ horsepower and high 10's or 11's without totaly gutting this car remember its a saleen.

Good kill! My dad has a 2006 Chrysler 300C SRT-8(the gentlemen's HEMI, haha) and that cars runs circles around Corvettes. Good kill, and if the damn thing didn't weigh 5,300 pounds, it would run high 12s no prob. If a stock '03 Mach 1 can run mid twelves on DRs, I can't wait until pappy gets some street slicks for his car. Can anyone say low 12s? BTW, very nice car.
