flipped quad shock rubbing shoch

In process of 5lug rear disc conversion with18x9s, and was going to flip the quad shocks for more clearance but now the quad shocks are rubbing on the rear shock. Ive read a bunch bout flipping quads but not much on rubbing shock. What are some ways people overcome this problem?

Remove them :D

Get yourself some good LCA's* and they are of no use any longer.

*See The Official Suspension Guide for a list of Jazzer approved LCA's :D

Ok if I were to leave em on, what needs to be done to get the two not to rub? I read it is widely used method, someone else had had to had this problem.

I would have to see it in person to answer that, but maybe install a short section of piping and longer mounting bolt to move the shocks away from each other. They do a bit of stabilization of the axle going down the road and reduce the amount of wheel hop, but that is essentially it. OH... they add bind to an already overly burdened amount of it on the Mustang 4-link

My current ride has been without them for well over 4 years and have zero issues as a result. Just best to get an upgrade in LCA's, as the OEM ones are flimsy and pretty much why the quads are installed in the first place.

Jazzer :)
