EEK on those washers as spacers

That is a -45mm wheel and designed for an S197 Mustang ('05+). The correct 8" wheel for a Fox Body is about -18mm, so you're over 1" too far inward for a proper fit. The washers bring you back out, proabably 3/8", but you DO NOT have enough thread engagement, IMO. The industry standard is an equal number of threads for the diameter of the bolt. In this case, you have 1/2"x20RH threads, so minumum of 10 threads is required, per this rule. Personally, I like 3/4"+ of thread engagement.

Do yourself a favor and replace those wheels. Don't look to spacers, as they create other issues of safety/clearance and best to spend the money and get a proper wheel fitment for your car.

Thanks jazzer...I really appreciate this....I have no idea when it comes to stuff like this...Can you recommend a good wheel wheels tire size for this car ,...I don,t care if they cost more than average...Just want a good solid looking wheel, that would work with this car...Once again thanks a million jazzer

You won't find a whole lot of aftermarket wheels for the Fox Body, as the model has been discontinued for so long and the off-set is NOT friendly to many other rides

Take a look at American Muscle for a few and see almost no choices at all anywhere else. Look around for '79~'93 Mustang wheels and see what you can find. Hit up The Classifieds section and just be sure that the wheels are no more than 9" wide (a 10" will fit out back, but very tight), the bolt pattern is 4x4.25" with back-space/off-set consistant with wheels you see on the AM page linked here. You can have some variation, especially with 7"~8" wide, but little wiggle room for wider wheels that that.

Jazzer says your welcome
