Just bought the car...it's lowered...handles like crap-o
Well, I figured since the rest of the car was so well built, the suspension would have been addressed as well. The previous owner had lowered the car and left it at that. I don't know how he did it or what parts he used but the car rides and handles like crap.
What's the point of having all that power without being able to get it to the ground or take a corner? My other vehicle is a 2002 F-350 and it rides and handles better than the Mustang. This car bounces down the road, jars like crazy over the bumps, bottoms out when someone is in the backseat and snaps hard in the corners.
I have read through a lot of the suspension threads...maybe too many threads because my head is spinning right now.
I'm looking to set this car up as a DD as well as a having a LITTLE fun on the road course just down the road. The perfect suspension would handle a few weekend drags every now and then.
So...where should I start? Obviously I have a budget to keep in mind but I want the car to handle appropriately. I have a garage full of tools and welders and have spent my adult life working on all types of vehicles. Needless to say, I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty.
Thanks

Well I'm just giving you the information that I was given when I bought the car. I've only had the car for a week and still don't know all the ins and outs of Mustangs.
I do know that my 8,500 lb truck will out corner this thing all day long. Any suggestions on how to improve the ride and handling of the car?

Just guessing here, but . . .
Bad/worn out dampers, Sensatraks, or dampers tuned for the dragstrip only.
Springs too soft for the amount lowered (possibly just cut-down originals).
Way too many polyurethane bushings in the suspension. Probably combined with boxed rear axle LCAs.
