Default New rear shocks.

does anyone know what kind or shocks i should throw on my 84 SVO? I went under the car to check if it still had the original Konis but it didnt, they where replaced with some regular monroes that look like they have been on there for quite some time now. so i dont know if i should just go with some sensa-trac monroe's since i am lowbudget right nowand i dont know how much my car or tires can take ofthese blown out shocks. as it is every little bump slices my tires and they might just end up poping one day. soany suggestions would really help.

Thanks.

Yeah, original Koni's are getting kinda expensive. I would just buy some regular replacements unless you plan on doing some serious auto-x in the future. Yours a quad-shock car?

well from the looks of it no. when i look under the car it only had the regular shock. i then compared my other SVO which still has all original Konis and that one is a quadshock. so i dont know if this one is too and they just didnt put them on or if it just came like that. what make them quadshock? are only some models/yrs/months quadshocks or how does it work?

All 85's, 85.5's, and 86's were quad shock cars. The early production 84's were "slapper bar" equiped while the later ones had the quads.

Will I ended going with some sensa-trac's from monroe and i have to say i am not satisfied at all. my car still bounces and hits on bumps that would normally by no problem. i dont know whats going on. are those just bad? how do i know what it could be if its not the shocks?

Push down on one corner of the car, is should come up and back down once!, if it keeps bouncing the shocks/struts are bad
