Car won't start

Car won't start
The car had the alternator die on it then the timing belt ate teeth off. I had the alternator, recharged the battery, and put on a new timing belt. I started and drove the car for about 2 hours then parked it. I went out to go somewhere two days later and it is acting like the battery died again. My guess is that with all the abuse that the 24 year old alternator harness has gone through recently that it has been fubar'd so much that it won't charge the battery. Does this sound right?, or are there any other suggestions? I also went through and couldn't find anything that was staying on and draining battery power. I also went out a few days after and now the battery is completely dead so maybe a short?

RE: Car won't start
At one point in the SVO two wires way back in the dash would touch sometimes because somebody messed with the radio and kill the battery. No chance the alternator or battery just took a ****? If you are sure it isn't a drain of some sort or a tired part swapping out part of the harness may be necessary, but honestly I have never heard of that before...

RE: Car won't start
The alternator harness was kinda fubar'd from all the moving around it has gotten so i rewired it, I change out the voltage regulator and now just need a new battery and we will see what happens I guess idk
