Default fuel pressure regulator and another ?

I need to know where I can get an adjustable fuel pressure regulator fo an 85 svo. I have looked but can't find anything on the web for specificly a svo.

Another question I have is when it is running, it is fin ebut when I push the clutch in it dies. It is bored .30 over, ported head, big cam and #42 lbs injectors. It also idles okay at first then after about 3 minutes it starts to surge then dies. I think it is way to rich and that is why I need the adjustable fuel pressure regulator. I also don't have anything to tune it with like a scanner or what ever you would use. Basically I just need some advice and knowledge of what is out there and where I can get it.

Thank you very much,

The FPR from the SVO is pretty much the same as any other Ford FPR. The first thing you have to do before you try to "fix" a fuel pressure problem is to ensure that you have a fuel pressure problem. Have you actually hooked up a fuel pressure gauge (you can get a decent one for less than 50.00 from someplace like autozone, Checker/Shucks/Kragen). Hook it up, idle the car and see what kind of fuel pressure you have at idle. Ensure it's within specs. Once you get it to run and drive, check it to see if the fuel pressure increases under boost (about 1 psi increase in FP for each PSI of boost). I'll also add the obvious.

Check for codes. Check the basic setup of the engine - the TPS voltage, the idle speed, timing, spout properly connected, ECU engine temperature functioning, VAM not damaged, O2 sensor working. The nice thing is that there are several choices in adjustable regulators, and they are generally good for any motor - V8, Turbo 4 or even a crappy Vulcan v6. While I enjoy this board, I would recommend turboford dot net as a good resource for Turbo Ford knowledge. While I am signed on here as a S197 Mustang owner, I also have several turbo-fords.
